I am a California girl to the bone. Born and raised in San Diego, transplanted to Berkeley, and now living in Santa Cruz. I graduated from UC Berkeley in 2014 studying biology, and am now pursuing my PhD at UC Santa Cruz. I study the ecology and evolution of Pacific salmon and trout. I am a huge outdoors gal. I love to surf, climb, hike, fish--you name it. I love that my hobbies have lead me to travel to many parts of the globe. A few of my favorites include: Patagonia, Brazil, Tahiti, and Europe; but my favorite place in the whole world remains Yosemite National Park.
