Overview
About Me
I am a cheerful young woman, always up for new experiences and challenges.
My friends describe me as a warm, open-minded and easy-going person, let's hope they are right. I think, it's super important to meet people without prejudice, and it's such a worthwhile gift to get to know strangers and share different perspectives. I hope I can make the world a little bit better place and have a positive impact on my surroundings. I would love to learn about your culture and your country. And what I also love a lot is being out in nature, exploring the great outdoors, mountain biking, mountaineering, climbing, ski touring or camping. I usually travel around Central Europe with my old VW bus and visit friends or explore the alpes, but I’m now on a mission to get to know Canada and live and work there for about a year.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We’re living in a globalized society, but what do I know about this world, its people, and its cultural treasures? I want to learn new things, share with strangers, and see this world through different lenses.
Mark Twain travelled extensively and once said: “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth.” Which is pretty harsh on the people that prefer to stay at home and also a stereotype I think, but I've experienced travelling in a similar way than he did obviously, and I think it simply makes you question your own assumptions.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Cycle touring New Zealand was definitely one of the most amazing things I was able to do so far. A friend and I started in Auckland and rode all the way down to Queenstown, with just our push bikes, a tent, and a camping stove.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share any of my passions with you, weather it is biking, climbing or hiking. And if you’re not so much into outdoor activities, no worries, I also love to simply hang out, have some good coffee or go out for one (or a few) beers or some crazy dancing. We can share good company and have interesting and funny conversations. I would love to share my experience and stories with you. And I can also make some really nice breakfast or cook some of the recipes my grandma taught me (oh, I am vegetarian by the way).
I’m really much looking forward to meeting you and sharing good times together. But don’t feel obliged to having to entertain me the whole time, it’s totally fine if you have other things to do, I’ll be all right!
