Overview
About Me
I was born and raised in Germany, in a tiny village of 500 people not too far from Frankfurt. When I was 23 years old I moved to the closest city, Wiesbaden.
In June of 1996 I moved to the United States. In Dallas, TX, I started at a Community College and after receiving my Associates degree, I continued to study business administration at the University of Texas in Arlington and finished in the year 2000 with a Bachelors degree in International Business and a concentration in Spanish. In June of 2000, my first child arrived and while I was taking care of Joshua I continued to take classes for my Master of Business Administration at the University of Texas in Dallas. In June of 2001, my daughter Caroline came along for the ride and we ended up moving to NC in the fall of 2007. I was able to finish the rest of my studies online but since receiving my MBA I discovered that I am much less passionate about numbers then I am about people and therefore I think my future is about figuring out how to be a blessing to others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In terms of traveling, I actually was on board of a Lufthansa aircraft that left Frankfurt/Germany on route to Dallas, TX on September 11, 2001. I had two small children with me, my son, Joshua (born 6/27/00) and my daughter Caroline, merely 3 months old. This was supposed to be a direct flight, a flight that I have taken many times during the 11 years that I lived in Dallas and visited my family in Germany.
However, there was nothing ordinary about this flight. Over Canadian airspace we were informed that there had been a terrorist attack against the USA and that, as a result, the American airspace was closed. We had to land in Gander, Newfoundland. In total, 39 airplanes had to take refuge there wich brought the total of stranded passengers to about 6,560.
This town with a population of just 10,000 was home for us for two nights. With only a few hotels available, locals opened their schools, churches and homes. The Canadian Forces brought in 6,000 cots to this northeastern province. The passengers of our Lufthansa-flight were accomodated at the Lions Club. The local telephone company set up long-distance phone banks so that passengers could call home. The residents provided 3 hot meals for us each day and invited some of us to their homes to take showers. In the end, we were brought back to Germany where I stayed with my family for another week until I was safely reunited with my husband in Dallas, TX.

Always! Love learning more about yoga. I am actually signed up to go on a retreat in Iceland in July of 2016!
