About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Knowing what I want.

ABOUT ME

Easy-going and optimistic. Hard to describe oneself.

PHILOSOPHY

"The way is the goal." Important to me, because I tend to forget it from time to time. But every time it comes back to me and I act accordingly, it feels good and I experience something like meaning.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Last year, when I traveled through the south of the US, Couchsurfing gave me the chance to have some incredible experiences. During the last few months I didn't have a place of my own, for I was looking for a job. Now that I have found one, I will get myself a room or flat and finally be able to host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Some have been good and some of them really good.

Interests

I like being active. That doesn't mean sports in the first place, though I enjoy jogging and inline skating. But I like providing for myself in a rather old-fashioned way. I've got a little mill to grind my flour, bake bread, rolls. I knit pullovers and sew dresses. I make drinks as well (leftover from working in bars for nine years)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like fantasy, Tolkin, Martin, Rothfuss and the likes. But also I do enjoy the occasional romance (Susan Elisabeth Phillips)
My favourite music would include Belle and Sebastian, The Smiths, David Bowie, Radiohead, Van Morrison, Bob Dylan....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I must admit, that I'm kind of a boring person when it comes to things I've seen and done. As a kid I grew up on a farm in a very small village with horses, sheep, chickens and fish. And I thoroughly enjoyed myself. When I was 18 I moved to Leipzig where I still live. I fell in love with this town when I visited it for the first time and somehow I haven't fallen out of it since. I lived in Scotland for a year though, which definitely was impressive. In many ways. It will definitely leave me for the rest of my life with a worship for Billy Connelly and a certain receptiveness to people with Scottish accents.

Teach, Learn, Share

As I said, I bake bread, make great drinks, and am a promising seamstress. Would love to teach you or pick up a couple of new tricks.
Would like to be able to dance and do yoga, so if you're up to exchanging some skills, that would be great.
