***I'm generally not able to accept requests more than a week or two in advance. I go out of town too often and with too little notice to be able to plan very far in advance. Last minute requests welcome though :)*** CURRENT MISSION Life is finite - be awesome every day. ABOUT ME I'm very curious. I love exploring and trying new things. I'm vegetarian, an avid reuser/recycler, and almost obsessively DIY. PHILOSOPHY My two biggest life goals are to become bilingual and to make a true friend on every continent. (Penguins count.)

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I use CS to meet locals when I travel, and return the favor when I'm home. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I turned to CS as a way to meet locals and fellow travelers when living in İzmir, Turkey. I quickly realized this community is full of generous, kind, and interesting people. I've met life-long friends as a surfer and through meet ups, and now that I'm home again, I'm paying it forward as a host.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I went on an 8-state, 3,000+ mile solo road/camping trip. There were a number of moments from that trip that I'd count as amazing. Oh, and swimming with bioluminescent plankton in Cambodia!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to cook and adapt my own recipes. Cooking plant-based meals is my favorite. I'd love to teach you my favorite mac n' cashew-cheese recipe, or maybe a peach pie if the season's right. I also boulder and rock climb, and I love introducing new people to the sport.
What I Can Share With Hosts
A place to crash, maybe a home cooked meal, and recommendations on what to see, do, and taste in Portland.
My Interests
Things I love to do: rock climbing, exploring, building / making / fixing things, enjoying good beer and wine, eating yummy plant-based food, journaling, and generally anything outdoors.
