About Me
Hey :)
My name is Kay Rebekka Heieck and I am from Germany.
I just graduated and now I want to travel a little bit because I haven't really seen a lot of the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I definitely love Japan and I want to stay there for at least three months. I did some jobs in Germany to earn money but since Japan can be quite expensive I can't afford to live in a hotel for a longer time.
When I found the website Couchsurfing I was simply overwhelmed because I think it's a great opportunity for people who like to make some new friends and who don't have the money to stay a short time in their dream country.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love lord of the rings, the Hobbit, Harry Potter, Narnia and films like that.
Also all of the marvel films like the Avengers, Thor or Suicide Squad.
It's hard to pick a favorite book because I like so many books but for example I love the four eragon books and the novels of jenny-mai nuyen.
With music I'm not very picky. I hear everything from German songs to the American charts till kpop and jpop.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2015 we did a family trip to Thailand for three weeks. Although it was all very cheap it was the best vacation we ever had. All of the people there were so friendly, polite and always happy we just enjoyed the atmosphere there.
That trip to Thailand definitely inspired me to do this backpacking trip now.
Teach, Learn, Share
I also want to learn a little bit Japanese. I already did a language course in Germany but I think that's not the same as actually talking with someone in that language.
So I hope maybe my new friends in Japan will be patient with me in that case.
What I Can Share with Hosts
All in all I am a person who loves to meet new people and to make new friends. That's why I really hope to become friends with my hosts who allow me to use their rooms. I think you get to know a country if you spend a lot of time with the people who live in it and as I want to know everything about Japan I would enjoy doing something together with my hosts.
