About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to organize my life in a way that supports my contributing to the world.

ABOUT ME

I am loyal and supportive, a little crazy, but fun.

PHILOSOPHY

I am interested in social justice, gender issues, and equity. I believe in live and let live, advocate for the disenfranchised and try to enjoy life. We are all only human, no better, no less than others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only hosted once and that was just a short overnight. She arrived late and left early the next morning, just passing through. I thought I would do more hosting but that didn't happen and now my living arrangements have changed. I still live in the same place but now someone lives with me.
Now my interest in CS is to meet, greet and hangout with those visiting the area.

Interests

I enjoy cultural events, art festivals, most kinds of music and independent films. Now that I am retired I find that I actually have the time to contribute. I volunteer at a local social service center in South Jersey.

Music, Movies, and Books

Enjoy R and B, jazz, world music; especially enjoy live music; enjoy independent films; enjoy self-help books and novels, my favorite book these days is Bryan Stephenson's 'Just Mercy'.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing things that I have seen or experienced include: sunrise in Cancun; watching sunsets of the Master Designer on my rides home from work; dancing in Brooklyn at the Carribean Day parade; attending the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am open to learning from all people. I am especially interested in learning from young people. I find that I get information not readily available from people in my own age group. I am not very tech savvy but am open to learning.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am open to sharing what I know of Philly and even learning along with them.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Barbados, Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico, Panama, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
