ABOUT ME
I'm a lifelong learner and Kentucky native who recently moved to Tallahassee, FL. I'm easy to get along with, and generally strive to be a respectful guest while couchsurfing. As a host, I love the opportunity get "snapshots" of people and places through the experiences they bring. I also love sharing the best parts of my city with others so they can get the most out of their travels!
PHILOSOPHY
"For I've only got a moment, and the whole world yet to see...so I'll be searching for tomorrow on the loose."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I couchsurfed in South America and had a blast! My boyfriend and I also hosted a handful of people in Puerto Rico. Because of Couchsurfing, I've been able to experience cities and towns in a way that I wouldn't have been able to had I stayed in more "touristy" places. Hosting has also been a neat way to learn more about my own city and find ways to show others its hidden gems.
Interests
A few of the things I love to do are hiking, kayaking, sailing, backpacking, dancing, traveling, cooking, art, and learning.
When I'm not studying, I might be: gardening, salsa dancing, in the park, at a game/movie night at a friend's house, going to events around the city, eating great food, or getting hooked on Netflix series.

Teach, Learn, Share
Talk to me if you want to learn about Kentucky, the Florida panhandle area, travel tips in Puerto Rico, Urban Planning, environmental and social justice, dancing, permaculture, traveling on a budget, and tap dancing. I was an English teacher at one point and can talk about grammar for hours if you're into that. I can also show you how to make several exciting dishes.
I love to learn about EVERYTHING. Right now, I'm especially interested in transition towns, conservation planning, city/regional food systems, how to be a better cook, and learning French...so if you have any knowledge in those areas, please share!
