My name is Alexander, and I grew up in St. Petersburg, Russia, but now I'm living in Jena, Germany. I am doing my Master in economics here.

PHILOSOPHY
I thnink the world is a beautiful place that should be discovered as much as it is possible. So that's why I think that travelling is a good thing to do. It brings us a new view at things around us each time we do it, adding new shades to our outlook. So I'm trying to find out more about the life and our world by developing myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't experienced couchsurfing activity yet, but i travelled to Paris and Barcelona with my friends renting an apartment by Airbnb, and now I'm looking forward to explore something new with Couchsurfing.

Interests

Trying to describe my interests I can't point out something dominant except interest in psychology. The other things are - linguistics, history, business. So if you'd like to chat, we can discuss some of these issues.
Also I can teach you Russian a bit, if you are interested :)
What about entertaiment activities - I like music, cinema, photography, sports (yoga, gym and football)

Music, Movies, and Books

I can listen all types of music, if it is good - from modern pop songs and metal rock to classical music and jazz. Among my favourite singers and bandsthere are - Queen, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Frank Sinatra, Vera Lynn, Mireille Mathieu, Andy Williams, Scorpions and others.
Concerning movies - I also like different sorts of films from easy comedies like Scary Movie to brilliant Woody Allen movies, and from sit-coms like Simpsons or THe Big Bang Theory to Stanley Kubrick's and Alfred Hichkok's masterpieces.
Favourite TV shows: The Big Bang Theory, Twin Peaks, Doctor Who, The Simpsons, Futurama, Family Guy.
Favourite movies: Forrest Gump, Gattaka, 2001: Space Odissey, Any Hall, Vertigo, Apocalypse Now, The Godfather.
