About Me
Sawasdee ka! :D
I'm Belle(29), an MA Animation at Estonian Academy of Arts and Jak(33), my husband and working companion, as I making animation and he's making a sound design (and he also works as an editor and graphic designer) we both come from Bangkok, Thailand. Right now we are settling down in Estonia. It's our first time to live in Europe! :)
Though we're from a big city like Bangkok, we found ourself enjoy life in the countryside or even in a small town like Tallinn. (A temporary home that we wish to stay as long as possible as we falling in love with it!)
Nature is a big big world we gradually exploring, starting by growing some plants in our kitchen ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Many of my International friends in Estonia are CS host and also have a lot of good experience with CS in their journey. We found it's such a nice way to travel and make friends with local, as we believe the city itself will be more charming with stories attached to it. Also talking with people full of passion and work hard for their dreams always inspiring!
Traveling with local friends open up a chance to get a lot of interesting information about the places and also reveal hidden spots that for sure not mentioned in a travel guide!
Back then when I (Belle) was in Malaysia and has my Malaysian friends brought me to their favorite places and toured me around, it's pretty much different experience from traveling according to a guide book, it's more fun with a conversation we shared.
And with my experience of Wwoofing in Japan for a week as my first time to work on an organic farm. I lived and joined every meal with the host, I found it creates a strong bond and we share a lot which I couldn't find this kind of experience if I go to a normal trip by myself. It's not just staying in the same place but it's an opportunity to meet a like-mind people and a great companion for life. :D
We wish to expand and deepen our perspective towards European countries, we are eager to learn about different cultures as it’s our dream to travel the world. We're open up to new things, especially culinary.
