About Me
Hi all,
My name is Keira, hailing originally from Melbourne in Australia. I'm 32 and was working corporate until my best friend was diagnosed with cancer, making me realise our time is precious and I need to see as much of the world before mine is up! (She is doing well now, just FYI!)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I thought it would be a great way to connect with people that already know the ins and outs of the city I want to see and it would avoid me being that annoying girl on the street asking strangers for advice or directions as I'd already be with a willing participant! :)
Once I'm settled back home, I think it will also be a great way to pay it forward and be able to host others in my awesome city.
Interests
I really enjoy old or quaint architecture so am pretty fascinated to walk around new towns and see the sights.
Big fan of animals - proooobably a little bit of a crazy cat lady but equally if I see a dog I must immediately cease anything I'm doing and pet the shit out of that thing.

Music, Movies, and Books
I've worked in the Melbourne nightclub scene on the side for close to ten years and am lucky enough to work with some great tour agents that primarily focus on techno, so I have a soft spot for it by proxy! But I'm pretty partial to anything, I can boot scoot like a local now after visiting Calgary in Canada!
Movies and books, I don't really have a favourite for either ... I don't tend to watch TV or watch many movies. I'd pretty much give any book a go, and would probably read it right through even if it bored me because I wouldn't want it to beat me!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After four days of being in Hanoi, Vietnam I decided off a whim to buy a motorbike and ride the Ho Chi Minh trail down south to Saigon instead of taking buses and trains. I'd never ridden a motorbike before and got twenty minutes practice before we set off!
All in all I did pretty well, but get me to show you my scar on my arm that needed seven stitches in a 'hospital' in the middle of nowhere!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to learn the basics of the language of wherever I'm travelling! In return I can try to help you decipher our Australian slang!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Well hopefully a pleasant personality with plenty of banter and wit!
