About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I like to really experience the culture of the places I'm visiting rather than just superficially skimming the surface and there's no better way to do that than staying with the locals!
ABOUT ME
I am some sort of strange jock/nerd man-child. I love reading, especially classical literature but I also love sports. Technically, I am adult but I like to try and live with a child-like wonder and appreciation for the world around me. My family is from Louisiana but I grew up in Nebraska. Ever since I graduated high school I've been scratching that travel itch and it has taken me all over southern and western United States as well as Latin America (Dominican Republic, Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Peru)
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in being open-minded, non-judgmental and kind. I love traveling because it fulfills me as nothing else does. Even better than traveling is when I can devote an extended period of time to living somewhere new so I can make friends and really immerse myself in the local culture.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Usually I sleep on other peoples couches and sometimes when I have a couch of my own they sleep on mine. There have also been air mattresses and futons involved.

Music, Movies, and Books
Classical literature, science fiction, fantasy, fiction, non-fiction just about any kind of book. I also have a soft spot for young adult literature (like Ender's Game!).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I have ever done was my 3 month NOLS course in Baja, Mexico. We hiked, kayaked, sailed, snorkeled, spear-fished all over that desert/ocean paradise. Magnificent!
