About Me

I've spent the past two years living out of an old Ford van while leading chainsaw crews in Steamboat Springs and working the chair lifts at Winter Park ski resort. I'm told that I'm an easy-going, positive, fun-loving person to be around. I love love love to cook. I also love rock climbing and hiking! I spent the past two summers hiking around backcountry USA for my job. I would love to experience some hikes in your area.

Right now I’m heading to New Zealand to hike the Te Aroroa. It’s a backpacking trail that runs through both the North and South Island!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My favorite part of traveling somewhere is to meet the locals and experience the local lifestyle, so couchsurfing has always been an interest of mine. I'm a bit intimidated by the idea of staying with someone I've never met before as a solo female traveler, but I've heard enough positive things that I've decided to just go for it!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Glass Animals and The Red Hot Chili Peppers are my favorite bands. In the Air Tonight by Phil Collins is my favorite song. I like to listen to all kinds of music, Reaggae, Folk, Rock, Reaggaeton, EDM and 80's being my favorites.

Book: The Fall of Giants series by Ken Follett. The Alchemist. Narcissus and Goldmundl by Hermann Hesse

Movies: I'm a sucker for rom-coms and anything Disney.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first time mountain biking and my first time bikepacking was last fall on the Kokopelli trail, which runs from Grand Junction, CO to Moab, UT. The trail starts off with 15 miles of black diamond trail...I was in for an adventure. My friend and I also got lost and did at least half of those black diamond miles by headlamp and moonlight. Three days later I ended up in Moab.

Thus began my obsession with bikepacking. Unfortunately it's more of an instagram obsession than real life, but hopefully that will change soon.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can also help you with your Spanish or English (my spanish isn't perfect though). I can cook you delicious meals. I can help you with any mechanical work you need done or talk about how to live in van. I can teach you how to backpack and live in the backcountry.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to buy you a meal or cook/bake you something delicious. I'd also love to share any of the 'teach, learn, share' things from above. I am also happy to help out with anything you need done around the house.
