Overview
About Me
I'm a retired electronics engineer who loves to travel the world, especially by bicycle.
I like a glass of wine at 5 o'clock. OK, any PM o'clock.
My house is a no smoking, no drugs, no murder zone.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Before Couchsurfing there was camping, homestays, hostels, B&Bs people you meet along the way, and as a last resort, hotels.
Couchsurfing appeals to me because one of the main reasons I travel is to meet people and learn about them and their cultures. I am also interested in hosting people with similar interests. I live in Davis, California which is between Sacramento and San Francisco.
Interests
Most days I bike for an hour or two, visit with my family, work on projects in my garage, and work on plans for my next trip.
I can fly a plane , sail a sailboat, and ski, but spend most time biking, scuba diving, and traveling in general.

Music, Movies, and Books
Oldies music of course. Historical novels and non-fiction for reading.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Jumped off a cliff in Switzerland with a hang-gliding parachute and didn't die.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have a passion for learning Spanish and have spent time in many Hispanic countries with some success, but still not quite where I would like to be.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A glass of wine. My treat.
English practice if you need it.
I love fixing things, and am good at electrical and mechanical devices, especially computers and bicycles. No guarantees, however.
