About Me

I was born in a small country town outside of San Antonio, Texas. For the past for 3 year I've been referring to San Antonio as my hometown. I've lived in the majority of all major cities and a few smaller cities throughout Texas. I've spent a lot of my time traveling and working in Mexico in my early age. I've also lived aboard in Leysin, Switzerland for about 6 months back in 2008. After graduating college in 2008, I went to work in the corporate world as Sales Manager for Hilton Hotels, and Starwood Resort & Hotels until 2012. The hotel industry taught me how to enjoy some of the finer things in life like food, wine and traveling.

As for my personality, I like to go with the flow of things and be pretty laid back when it comes to making decisions. I also can be decisive if I need to make decisions. I love to laugh and smile! I'm mostly opened minded but still take a conservative approach to things. I like to think I was raised with good moral values and to treat people with self respect.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am traveling the world and looking forward to visiting exotic, unique places that local citizens can show me safe places to visit. I love to meet new people from all different cultures and ethnic backgrounds. I want to experience the different cultures, music and food of each individual that host me along the journey.

Interests

My Interests consist of a bunch of different things...

I love to watch and play competitive sports. Those sports consists of Futbol(Soccer), Basketball, Baseball, and American Football.

Cars are another interest, especially foreign, luxury, sport, street and rally cars.

Music is by far my favorite interest! I spend most of my time creating and building my music library to help with my DJ'ing. I have been Dj'ing for 5+ years now. Being able to create my own music is a dream of mine.

I also love to snowboard! I have been snowboarding for the past 14 years.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a fan of all music! I grew up on country, rock, classics, and hip hop. Now that I Dj, my passion is electronic music, house, tech house, deep house and techno. Don't be surprised if something different comes out the speakers because I love all music and respect anybody who can create music.

As for movies, its hard for me to sit down that long to watch a movie but if i I had to pick a couples favorite movies... It would be Big Fish, Blow, Snatch and National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. I do like to watch documentaries about planet earth, space and history. There are a few other movies I like but those are just to name a few. Tim Burton is one of my favorite directors.

For books, its even harder for me to make time to read them but I am working on getting better at reading books. I am currently reading a few manuals about my Dj equipment and how to create music. I have read the "Consent To kill", it a book about the US government and espionage. It was a really good book!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know what others consider as amazing! So I'll just name a few things that could be classified as amazing and I'll let the others decide what is amazing...

I coached a soccer team made up a group kids from 6-7 years old. I've been the only person in my family to attend and graduate college. I've also attend an university in Switzerland and lived in the Alps for six months. I've backpacked across Central and South America, living there for more than 6 months.

It's hard for me to declare what is amazing to others but those are things I'm proud of doing!

Teach, Learn, Share

It would be awesome if I could teach my knowledge of music to anybody that is interested in learning and listening to what I know about the subject. I look forward to pursuing a life in music, by trying to purse that life I know it will cause me to keep learning. To take that knowledge and have someone learn from that would be an honor.

I've also studied business in college, specializing in restaurants and hotels. If I could help others build their business to become successful, it would be something that I would love to do with the knowledge I've learned.

I also love working with kids. I think with they are sponges that are wanting to learn anything you teach them. Some kids have interest in certain things but most of them are willing to listen. I love sports and that could be something to teach and share with the youth.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am person that doesn't require a lot of attention. I like to explore new things and be part of the existing culture, and not stand out. I try to make myself be apart of the atmosphere. I love trying all things at least once! My enthusiasm to travel, learn new places keeps me going and excites me! As a Dj, I do like to have a good time and let loose every once in a while, with the maturity to have self control. I am not afraid to take control and fix a situation or make it better. I love life and love living it!!!
