I’ve been retired for quite awhile & with the freedom of time, I started more extended international travel, 10 years ago. My focus was SE Asia. I based in Bangkok for months at a time. COVID stopped my travel for a while before I resumed & started exploring Portugal primarily, but also more of Europe. Mexico is always a “go to” but I’ve continued to South & Central America recently, too. I joined CS a year ago & excited to explore all the opportunities it has to offer. I’m a gay male with pronouns of he/him.

I travel alone mostly. Looking for opportunities to meet people & learn more about the culture I’m immersed in.

Interests

Besides travel, I like to always start a new destination with a walking tour, offering orientation, history & trends of the local culture. Walking & working out are 2 big values of mine. I appreciate architecture, history, reading, movies, languages, good food & movie festivals.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did the Camino del Santiago pilgrimage from the Portuguese coast to Santiago de Compostela. I bicycled from San Francisco to Los Angeles with the AIDS Ride.
I’ve climbed up to Tigers Nest in Bhutan & skied on a glacier in Chamonix.
