ABOUT ME

After a metaphorical alarm bell I quit my job, gave up the flat and booked a one way ticket.

I am a contradiction (it must be the Gemini), had the corporate lifestyle but am now embracing my inner spiritual, laid back, spontaneous traveller. She's having much more fun.

You are most likely to find me smiling or laughing (or after a few drinks singing ; )- I like to see the funny side of life. Life is serious but I don't believe that means we should take it or ourselves too seriously.

I also try and remember what a privileged position I am in and to be grateful.

PHILOSOPHY

Choose life, spontaneity and adventure. I believe the purpose of our lives is to be happy. Once we make that conscious decision and implement it through our own actions, we will find warmth, compassion and kindness leading to meaningfulness in our lives.

Travelling, meeting new people and trying new things, dancing barefoot on the beach, reiki, meditation, climbing (recently tried 'deep water solo'), cooking, diving, photography, baking, singing (karaoke is another not so secret guilty pleasure), life drawing, pottery, massage, lounging with a book, yoga, cocktail sampling, trying to learn new languages, playing the piano and drums (badly), learning the guitar, the list goes on and on...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

hmmm i've been very fortunate, the ones that spring to mind are: sunrise at macchu pitchu, sunset at ankor wat, diving with giant mantas, snorkelling with whale sharks, getting lost in the amazon, dancing in the favelas til dawn, safari in Kenya, blagging my way into a remote expedition centre in Borneo for some trekking - actually blagging has led to many amazing things, backpacking with my Nana through India, feeling claustrophobic in the pyramids and just hanging out with my awesome sister and brothers though not least leaving my job to begin this incredible journey....

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach piano (and would love to know more about the drums and guitar), I love cooking and baking and sharing food, and I am great at proofreading (lol), can work my way around a contract (if that can help you) and have set up companies for friends... otherwise all about the learning right now
