About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I have hosted before, mostly through HC. I want to travel to every single country in the world if I could. I wanna have friends from all nationalities and teach my son Lucas the love for other cultures and people, not just his own. Potentially make new friends from all different places. To help travelers!
My Husband and I have hosted people before, but now I'm getting ready to leave on my very first trip to Europe and use Couchsurfing for the first time as a guest so wish me luck!

ABOUT ME

I am a photographer living in Key Largo, Florida for the last 3 years with my husband and our family.
I am dominican born and was raised in between the countries of Dominican Republic and Panama. But I have an extremely diverse heritage and consider myself to be a citizen of the world.
I'm a free spirit. Curious about everything, I want to learn about it all. I am a free thinker.
PHILOSOPHY

Live before you die
Freedom means not being afraid
Reality is stranger than fiction

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love helping people and traveling so this is the best of both worlds to me.
I host people because besides being a great way to expose my family to people from other cultures and ways of living, it is also a way to give something positive to the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Anything by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I am a bit of a bibliophile really so I like to give all books a chance. I like Richard Dawkins and lately I've been really into travel books. Anthony Bourdain is probably one of my favorite travel authors.

I love American classics: naked lunch, the quiet American, anything by Maya Angelou, Sylvia Plath, Hunter S Thompson.

Movies: Anything by Woody Almodovar ; Italian cinema fascinates me: Federico Fellini, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Giuseppe Tornatore are among my favorite movie makers. But the list can go on and on forever since I am a movie maniac. Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino are also amongst my favorite movie makers.
Music: Bossanova and Nouvelle Vague type music my stuff. I'm obsessed with Nina Simone's music and persona. Love the blues!!! Love Latin music such as Calle 13, But very much enjoy any time of music (except country music, I haven't learned to love that one yet..)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Experiencing motherhood is the top most amazing thing I have experience, and the thing that I am the most thankful for every day.
The most awesome thing I've seen is probably the birth of a baby dolphin! I got to see the WHOLE thing! It was too amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love cooking and got some pretty good dominican and panamanian recipes to share.
I can help you with your English
And your Spanish! (Duh)
And soon enough, Italian!
My life has been a movie that I'm, in most cases, willing to tell...
