About Me

Hi there,

My name is Kiana and I'm an architect from Iran. I have moved to The Netherlands for my master studies and I hope I get to travel to different places and gain wonderful experiences.

I'm a quiet person; while being open to communicating, I always respect people's privacy and value their principles and I like others to do so as well. I'm a good listener. Being a good friend is more important to me than having good friends. I like to be counted on. However, I realized that many people, even whom you call friend, might take advantage of that.

I'm a great observer. I can seat quite in a group and just watch people's behavior, how they talk, how they react and how they express themselves. By doing so, I can understand what kind of personality they have. I don't judge them, it just gives me more insight on how to interact with them and makes me aware of the people whom I need to be careful around.
I never ever take someone for granted, NEVER. In my culture, we are taught to be grateful towards people. I might say thank you so many times even for a very small deed that someone does for me. I have learned to appreciate the things other people do for me. So Couchsurfing is not just a free accommodation platform in my eyes. I would love to get to know the people I meet and I make sure I let them know how much I appreciate their kindness.

I'm also a crazy movie lover haha. I have a special place for dessert in my heart (is that considered as being a foodie?) I LOVE pastries and I can say my brownies are pretty good!

I love dogs, Golden Retrievers make me fall in love with them every single time!

Don't mix up this website with Tinder! If you send any message with such content, you will be reported (I receive many of these messages and I'm fed up).

I ONLY HOST FEMALES!!
I live in a small studio but I would be happy to share my time with you as much as I can.
Since I receive requests from travelers in Rotterdam, please note that I live in Delft, not Rotterdam!
Read the section my home to avoid any confusion!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During my trip to India, the driver of the Ato (tricycles as local cabs) accidently took me to a wrong address, which was the same name as the one I gave him. I found myself in a village 50 km away from the city at 8 pm. Local cabs usually can't be seen on the street after 9 pm (so I couldn't take a cab to go back). And the harsh thing, I had watched the movie Lion just the day before. I told myself either you'll be dead or will be found 25 years later. After an hour, a guy found a local cab for me that took me home. I have to mention that no one at the village knew the address I wanted to go to (I was just trying not to cry and keep it together)

So, I stayed alive!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn about different cultures, hitchhiking and how to be able to travel on a low budget. I hope I can become a traveler someday (like a professional one lol)

I can teach you about Persian culture and our language (Persian/Farsi).
