Overview
About Me
When I visited Peru in 2013 I knew I had to go back to South-America for a longer period of time. I fell in love with its beautiful landscape and the passionated and enthousiastic people. In June I graduated from university and saw it as the perfect opportunity to go back to South-America. From October 2016 to February 2017 I travelled through Argentina, Chile, Bolivia and Ecuador (including Easter Island and Galapagos islands). From May 2018 to April 2019 I travelled through Australia, Hawaii, New Zealand and Fiji.
During my life I already travelled a lot, mostly together with my mother. We visited some wonderful places and met amazing people. I am very thankful about this and especially about the fact that I got to do this together with my mum. We have some nice memories to look back upon.
From March 2017 onwards I can offer a nice place to sleep to people visiting The Netherlands. I live in Bodegraven, a small village near Gouda. By train you can visit both Utrecht and Leiden in just 20 minutes. Rotterdam, Amsterdam and The Hague are all about 30 kilometres away by car. When you go by train you have to transfer and it takes you about 1 hour in total. When you write me a request please include somewhere in your message: 'palta'. So I can check that you have carefully read my profile.
From May 2018 onwards I cannot host as I will be traveling through Australia, Hawaii and NZ. Really excited about this great adventure!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love all kinds of music, movies and books. Not really something specific.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Too many things to chose just one:
Climbed the Rinjani Volcano in Lombok (Indonesia), swam with dolphins in Cuba, spotted the Big Five in South-Africa, saw a turtle laying eggs in Costa Rica, a helicopter flight above the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, ice hiking on Perito Moreno glacier in Argentina, 4 days hiking the W-trek in Torres del Paine (Chile), visited the mysterious Easter island, made funny pictures at Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, snorkeled with sea lions, turtles, sharks and even manta rays at Galapagos islands, did many adrenaline activities in Ecuador, and more... Ask me about it if interested :)
