About Me

I am a happy Canadian. I love history in the places I visit, and live in. My home is a 200 year old farm and my art studio is an old converted barn. I am visually stimulated- art, architecture, food, nature. I love making music and dancing poorly. Language- origins of words and twists of phrases are really appealing to me. I am comfortably self sufficient, and yet also love meandering through the minds and neighbourhoods of intelligent active individuals.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Making friends, and exchanging experiences is what travel is all about! I look forward to hosting and bonfires this year as well. I like creating moments where people loose their guard and enjoy- in music, art, nature, ideas.

Interests

I design/build furniture, interiors, environments. I have made art all my life. I sing okish and write songs. I have wonderful animals in my life. I love nature and gardening. I'm fascinated right now about ghosts and afterlife stuff. I love bonfires.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Painted/gold leafed the ceiling of a castle for 16 months.
Walked on coals.
Sailed the Mediterranean Sea and watched the bioluminescent plankton and jelly fish swirl of the stern of the boat in the dark. Magical.

Fun. Laughter. I can share hikes, art, ideas, philosophy. And I can always learn more.
