I hail from the historically rich south asian cultural capital, Karachi. Despite having a keen interest in history & political sciences, I chose to study at Pakistan's premier business school, Institute of Business Administration karachi. I love traveling & meeting new people. We Pakistanis are very hospitable and kind-hearted people. During my two exchanges, I met & conversed with people from all over the world. The experience has helped me understand the value of cultural diversity. Extensive travel within U.S & Singapore has turned me into a stirring storyteller. Academically, I have been a Dean List topper since my first semester at the business school. I have also represented Pakistan at the National University of Singapore Summer School 2017. Fortunately, this year I am representing Pakistan as the Cultural Ambassador at the University of Missouri - Columbia UGRAD Semester Exchange Program.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
As I continued to pursue my dream of traveling and exploring new places, people and culture, I came across the platform of Couchsurfing. I will be exploring more cities within U.S and therefore will be using Couchsurfing to make arrangements for my short stay at different destinations.
Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite music genre is indie rock/folk and alternative rock. I'm a big fan of Coldplay, U.2, OneRepublic, Snow Patrol and Imagine Dragons. My movie choice is quite versatile. I love 90s rom coms featuring stars like Meg Ryan, Tom Hanks, Billy Crystal and Robin Williams etc. Sleepless in Seattle, You've got mail and When harry met sally are my top favourites. At the same time I'm also a big fan of wartime classics and action thrillers such as Saving Private Ryan, Apocalypse now, Executive Decision and All the President's Men. Jodi Picoult is my favourite writer and her novel Nineteen Minutes is one of the best works I have ever read.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
At my hometown karachi, I have sponsored a child's education at a local orphanage. This is by far the most amazing thing I have ever done. Millions of kids are out of school in Pakistan and it is the privileged people like us who are now responsible for sending those kids to school. The happiness and satisfaction you get by helping someone unknown and needy is incomparable and I love experiencing that again and again.
