Overview
About Me
I love experiencing different places and cultures through the eyes of the people who live there. One of the things I value most about life is connection and I am excited to join a community of people with the same value.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After living for several years in South America, traveling will never be quite the same because I don't want to just see a place, I want to experience it. I think the best way to do that is to spend time getting to know local people and trying new food, languages, and experiences. I want to continue learning about the world so that I can contribute to a more open, just, and loving global community.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love playing and listening to music - especially indie, folk, soul, and tropical house. I also love to dance - to anything!
I'm not big on television but I do enjoy comedy, and I'm a sucker for British mystery series!
My favorite books include A Tree Grows in Brookly by Betty Smith, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou, and Harry Potter.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Served for four years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Paraguay.
Teach, Learn, Share
Love teaching Spanish and other languages, crafts, dancing, music, sailing, and healthy living.
Love to learn just about anything, especially languages, mechanics, cooking, and whatever else!
I'm happy to share whatever I can : )
What I Can Share with Hosts
Experiences, laughter, music, an open mind and adventurous spirit. Also help around the house - I'm pretty good at fixing things (I fixed the sliding screen door in the first house I ever couchsurfed in) and love sharing food.
