ABOUT ME

I am a very open and fun-loving person with strong convictions. Born and raised in Orlando Florida (would be a good tour guide).

Travels outside the U.S. include Holland, Scotland, Germany, Italy, Greece, France, Austria, Switzerland, Slovakia, Australia, Canada and Croatia. I have NOT travelled enough, and was recently introduced to CS to get motivated and inspired to travel more!!!

PHILOSOPHY

BE KIND TO OTHERS, HONESTY, INTEGRITY, LOYALITY, FOCUS ON THE GOOD, MAKE OTHER'S HAPPY, SELFLESSNESS, and to SMILE - A LOT. My favorite quote - "A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort."

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined CS a few years ago and used to be more active having been able to host a few times and show some people around Orlando. Now, we have a new son that has slowed us down a lot, but not for long! My last CS experience was in Australia, June 2009 - time flies! My last hosting was in 2011 with some previous CS from Germany.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I attended a lunch at a wonderful Indian restaurant last weekend. What a great group of people! I am looking forward to planning my next trip and changing my lifestyle to travel more often and when ever I want to just pickup and go!

My CS experiences so far have included hosting and showing people around Orlando. All have been great experiences.

Orlando is a major city in the U.S. state of Florida. It is the county seat of Orange County, located in Central Florida. The city was reportedly named after Orlando Reeves, a soldier who died in the area in 1867. It was incorporated on July 31, 1875, and as a city in 1885. According to the United States Census Bureau the estimated population of the Greater Orlando area as of 2008, was approximately 2,045,322. It is the third largest metropolitan area in Florida, behind Miami and Tampa.

The city has many nicknames, the most popular being "O-town", City Beautiful and "Hollywood East". The region is classified as a clear humid subtropical climate ranging from hot and rainy summers to dry and mild winters. The average high temperatures are over 90 °F (33 °C) for almost five months out of the year, and have spiked over 100 °F (38 °C) on occasion.
