About Me
I AM TRAVELING IN SOUTH AMERICA THIS YEAR SO I AM NOT IN AMSTERDAM :)
Currently trying to figure out what this life is all about - I believe it’s about exploring and experiencing all the beautiful things in this world, being in the present moment and being happy.
I am a psychologist, a recruiter, an adventurer, a lover of new experiences, an extroverted introvert, a writer, love dancing and singing, and a yogi!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am looking to connect with like-minded travelers, which is what makes traveling so amazing and interesting for me. I’ve usually found Couchsurfers to be open-minded, respectful and people with interesting life stories.
Learning about each other’s cultures and finding a common ground even though we might have grown up in a totally different place and environment has so much magic to it!
Seeing a place through the eyes of a local is a completely different experience and I love it!

Music, Movies, and Books
One weird thing about me is that I love dancing to 90s music and German Schlager - I know it’s odd. I also like RnB, Latin music and German pop.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went backpacking in South East Asia for four months. Definitely one of the best things I've done! My favorite country on this trip was Myanmar (Burma) - it was so authentic and off the beaten track!
I also went camping in Canada's national parks in the Rockies - simply beautiful! Got lucky and saw two bears (thankfully from the distance). Oh, and I also hitchhiked in Canada - such a cool experience!
Teach, Learn, Share
I’d be happy to teach you German (I speak the “high German”, without a dialect). Also, in case you're currently on the job hunt, I would be happy to help you out with improving your CV/job Interview Coaching as I’ve worked as a recruiter for several years.
Also I can show you the best restaurants and bars in Amsterdam even though I’m not technically a local here but I’ve lived here for the last 5 years.
I love sharing travel stories and have deep conversations about life. I’m very interested in healthy nutrition and I eat mostly vegan so we can also try some nice recipes together!
