I'm kat! I live to travel and see the world, but I haven't seen enough of it yet. I've roadtripped most of the continental US, but not much of anything outside of the US, so that's my next goal.

PHILOSOPHY

I got in to massage therapy because I believe that everyone should be doing something that directly makes the world a better place AT ALL TIMES. When I'm not massaging people, I like to spend time with the folks in my life who I love; constantly exchanging good vibes which (hopefully!) have a ripple effect in the world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Update 2023: I live in Asheville, NC on the south end of town. I am available to host and am near the airport, but this side of town is not the prettiest or coolest and public transit around here is bad, so you'll probably be able to find a more appealing and central spot to stay if you keep looking! I'd still be happy to meet you.

[Old profile: I'm taking a break from the roadtripping for a while to settle in Albuquerque for a year or two. I'm hoping to accumulate some money to pay off a portion of my student loans before traveling overseas, but while I'm here I want to find a good community of people and hang out with some cool traveling people at the same time.
Since I haven't been able to host, I've used cs to network locally, have made some great friends, attended some great parties, thrown some great parties, taken roadtrips and adventured with other couchsurfers. My roommate is even on this site!]

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

[Old profile: I have a pretty huge network of friends and acquaintances across the nation with whom I've been able to surf during past roadtrips. I was aware of couchsurfing.org for a while before I stopped in Albuquerque and joined, so that I'd be able to host. I've found a great community of couchsurfers here and would definitely consider the ABQ couchsurfing experience a success!]

I tend not to bond with people over these things. My favourite books are utopia/dystopia stories with a feminist bent. Woman On The Edge of Time, and The Year Of The Flood are both fantastic.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I *love* skydiving, so that's always pretty cool, and I love dancing with fire so that's also pretty cool, though I'm not an expert at either of these things by any stretch of the imagination. I could probably come up with some pretty entertaining stories from my past but I'll save those for when I know you better ;)
