ABOUT ME

I'm 26, and pretty chill. Most of my loved ones say they have never seen me angry, which is pretty rad I suppose!
Im currently an early childhood special education teacher with my Masters in SPED/Autism Spectrum Disorder. I'm currently working on my doctorate in education. When I'm not teaching I serve beers at a local brewery.
I feel happiest making a difference in the lives of others.

My slang is whack and out of date.
Also, quite tall, and about 80% of my body is tattooed. That's always the first thing people comment on when surfing. Just throwing that out there now as to avoid any sort of intimidation!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am more than happy to share sites and sounds here in Minneapolis! We really have wayyyyyy more than the cherry on the spoon here. Every once in a while I'll surf here and there as well!
I own a house in Southeast Minneapolis with my: partner, 2 y/o kiddo, and our 3-legged puppy. I am hoping to begin to host once we are settled into the house.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed through Europe and some of the US. What a grand way to meet such magical people! You can also find me at a handful of CS events, having a good laugh and telling people how awesome they are. I've made some good friends through couchsurfing, and hopefully a bunch more in the future.

Interests

Philosophy, ethics, optimism, squirt guns, star gazing, special education, Post-Rock, body modifying, tree climbing, bagged wine(when its taken from the box) biking, oolong teas, adventuring, people, house shows, complimenting strangers, and paying it forward. I also enjoy quite a bit of booty shaken.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Studying Buddhist Ethics in Tibet was one of the greatest experiences of my life. The people there were so friendly and happy, even though conditions were somewhat rough. Also jumping from the plane was pretty alright. Walking through a giant fields surrounded by Icelandic horses and a double rainbow made me stop in my tracks. Not paying attention to sub liners.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can make a mean cup of tea, and fill you in with tons of knowledge about it.
Religion is one of my favorite topics to discuss. Perspective is everything :)
I love learning about human interaction, and culture. I'd love to share this with you. I've spent most of my career in special education, and love discussing ways in which making society better for multiple minority populations.
