About Me

NOTE: if you need hosting, please read the details about my hosting situation, especially in terms of transport, to see if it works for you.

I'm a happy and thoughtful introvert. I like learning, seeing different perspectives, reading between the lines. I try to find something to learn in every experience and I find that often problems teach us the most and push us forward. I strive for balance in life: balance between thoughts and feelings, compassion and boundaries, serious and funny, challenges and giving myself a break... I enjoy connecting to people through interesting conversations. I'm self-employed and my work is primarily helping people resolve their emotional patterns learned in childhood.

In my free time, besides gardening and reading, I enjoy quite unprofessional singing (I sing for fun with a disorganized group in Zagreb), some non very committed dancing (I'm currently learning salsa and bachata because not much else is available in my neighborhood), and, of course, a trip every few months or so.

I traveled a lot by now and feel rather "templed out" - that is, I've seen so many churches, palaces, temples, fortresses and so on that now I have little interest in those - I prefer nature, small towns, or in bigger towns, hidden interesting stuff or just getting lost.

If you want to know more about me, or enjoy reading about psychology, I have lots of articles on my web-site: http://iscmentoring.eu/km/.

IMPORTANT: I prefer hosting in warmer months, because our guestroom is in our half-basement which is not heated in the winter. I also prefer guests who have their own wheels, because we are out of town with not very good public transport access, and I'm often too busy to drive guests to the town and back.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used to be an active Couchsurfing member some 10 ys ago, but I deleted my profile eventually as some life circumstances changed. Now I'm ready to travel (and possibly host) again, so I decided to register again.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lois M. Bujold, the Vorkosigan saga. Anything by Terry Pratchett and Brandon Sanderson. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Tolkien. Basically, I enjoy thoughtful and complex fantasy, as stories from real life I hear enough in my practice :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wrote the book "Emotional Maturity" and a few others. Taught workshops at close to 10 foreign countries. Traveled quite a few countries solo. On my first "real" trip abroad , I spent a month and a half in a tent in Hawaii.
