I enjoy spending my time in the outdoor setting. I yearn to experience nature whether it be from a day in the forest or a 10 day trip in the mountains. I enjoy hiking, skiing, and navigating among other things. It is slightly ironic that I am so passionate about mountains as my home province is often ridiculed for the lack of contour on the land.

I am currently studying Outdoor life in Svalbard, Norway

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After you begin to travel you realize that local knowledge of an area can (not always) enrich your experience. I joined couch surfing to board with local people and have a better connection than that which is presented at a hotel or hostel. I think it is a great initiative to connect total strangers in a safe and inviting environment.
