About Me
Positive sunny attitude! 🌼
November 2023 started a trip in Auckland. Did a super fun whirlwind GAdventures group tour and then WWOOFing, Melbourne, Sydney & beyond for all of January 2024.
Current life status: fortunate to have lots of leisure, some cool projects, based in Minnesota 🏡
Did a Euro trip 2021 🎒🌍 My recent adventures in August-November 2021: Bremerhaven, Sofia, Gigintsi Monastery, Bari Italy, Vienna, Brno Czech Republic, Donauradweg and Passau, Maloja Switzerland and Zürich; Milano; Croatia, in Zagreb, Plitvice, and Split; Vienna, Berlin, Wrocław, Kaczerki, Freiburg im Breisgau (twice during this trip), Biblis, and Odenwald.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to meet new people and travel. I like to see other points of view and ways of living.
I’ve lived harmoniously with roommates in a few shared housing arrangements for 8 years.
In 2021 I explored and adventured, deciding how to design my life... I got lonely, bored, and restless during Covid ...so I practiced being a digital nomad... reconnected with friends around the Midwest, and I was excited to be abroad as a tourist again.
I’m uncomplicated, clean, respectful, don’t need too much attention, and I’m an early bird.
Interests
I love being outside and biking, gardening, walking, etc. Good fresh food gives me delight throughout the seasons -think of just-picked asparagus, warm tomatoes off the vine, etc! I am a resourceful cook, I am very organized, and I am reflective. I am interested in environmental issues, having grown up near the Mississippi River and studied environmental policy. I work in public relations and advocacy- my job is part time, remote, project based, for a variety of great clients and topics. I volunteer on a climate justice nonprofit’s board and with other community involvements. I’ve lived and worked on organic farms - growing food is challenging and rewarding. A good book is a quality way to spend an afternoon, but time with friends and family is also important.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went on a rock climbing trip and got to rappel down a 200ft rock face, submerge in Lake Superior's chilly waters, then climb back up.
Teach, Learn, Share
Very interested in community-supported agriculture and regenerative agriculture, gardening, local food systems. 🥕 I have worked on farms, at co-ops, food hubs, restaurants, breweries, Wwoofed, community sustainability projects.
I’m a ‘community connector’ type of person. I’m ready to help with projects or chores around the house. Will listen thoughtfully to your perspective.
