Hello there! My name is Kristina and I currently live in Vancouver, BC. I fell in love with this city the moment I moved here a year ago, and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon. I am a friendly, open-minded person, who loves adventures and challenges. I also like meeting with new people, exchanging stories and just having a good time. I am spontanious person and when traveling, I like to see/do things like a local rather than a tourist. That's another reason why I'm here, as talking/meeting with locals is in my opinion the best way how to experience a new city. I really like books and coffee so there's a big chance you'll find me sitting in my favourite bookstore (which has a small coffeeshop inside) enjoying my newly bought book and a hot cup of coffee with the best lime cheescake in town! My friends also say I am a bit wierd because I love cold weather and rain haha! I am originally from Bratislava, the capital city of this small country called Slovakia! If you haven't been there yet, you definitely should! We have beautiful nature, great beer and even better wine! And food is delicious as well. I'd be happy to share some tips on what to do and see there! PHILOSOPHY There's a beauty in everything, you just need to learn how to see it. If your dreams do not scare you, they are not big enough.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I feel like spending time in foreign city with locals makes your experience so much better. Meeting new people from all around the world, learning a bit more about them, their country and culture. You can always learn something new from other people while having a great time :)
Music, Movies, and Books
I like a lot of movies so it’s hard to pick one, but I can say I’m a bit of Harry Potter geek (both movies and books). I also like Avengers, Game of Thrones and I totally love FRIENDS. I really like reading books, I have recently started reading classics but I am open to any recommendations no matter what genre!
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I solo backpacked around Europe for a month when I was 17
What I Can Share With Hosts
Well, I can cook for you (or die trying). Cookies, breakfast or quick dinner, anything you like! Also, I can help you clean and teach you Slovak or Czech language.
My Interests
I love taking photos, cooking, traveling and trying local food. I’ve always wanted to know how to speak French and play piano and guitar (so if you could teach me some basics I’d love you forever!!).
