Overview
About Me
We are travel-lovers who are enthralled with building and nurturing community. We enjoy simple living and connecting with people who have a passion & zest for life. Together, we have sold most of our belongings and we have embarked on a journey traveling the world starting in October 2017.
We have spent the last few years planning, organizing, and growing in hopes of living a life free from material and societal restraints. We are not those who follow crowds. We welcome the opportunity to take risks, think outside the box and walk where many hesitate to step.
As for lifestyle, we are quiet and calm individuals that love to connect with our hosts/guests, but we also appreciate the balance of introverted time. We are generally in bed by 11pm and up around 7am. We enjoy an active lifestyle of getting out in nature, exploring our communities, and meeting new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We believe in the reciprocity that community can provide. Our world has become more and more impersonal and couchsurfing offers something truly unique; when we open our homes, and if we are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to be welcomed into other peoples' homes, we can connect on a more personal level with people.
We love Couchsurfing so much that we submitted a video for their video contest "This is How I Couchsurf"! We got an honourable mention as part of the contest and you can see the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dX61GOwPd5M&t=2s

Music, Movies, and Books
We absolutely love live music! If it's celtic or has a violin, even better. We love all books related to travel, health & wellness and self-development.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Kristina : There are so many! Ok, since I can't pick one, here are some pretty unique highlights that have made me who I am..... I worked with children in a slum in Nairobi, I played lacrosse in Denmark, I played hockey on the only ice rink in East Africa while I was in Kenya, and I brought a group of my students to India.
Michael: Soooooo many! I lived in Australia for 3 years studying Physical Therapy. I've completed a 5 day hike in the Andes Mountains... visited Machuu Pichu.... the Maya Ruins in Guatemala... Ancient Combodian temples... Thai temples... Indonesian... the list goes on... but most importantly... I've met and made friends all over the world... and want to meet more!
We have lived a life full of experiences and look forward to sharing them with our guests or hosts. We have heaps of travel stories and especially love sharing our journey of selling all our stuff to travel the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
We are believers that there is always more to learn, than there is to teach.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We love to share in conversation and exchange life experiences. We are extremely flexible and also love to give back to our host in any way possible (dishes, cooking, helping around the house, etc.). We are open to anything!
