I'm a 40-year-old woman with an insatiable thirst for life. I love to travel and find beauty in the everyday. I'm an aspiring writer, or rather, I'm a writer learning how to make money doing it.

I'm from the Seattle area and on my first solo trip overseas for several months. It's been magical so far.

I love being an aunt more than anything and pride myself on being the worlds best aunt. Just ask my nieces and nephews and they'll tell ya! Ha!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm Couchsurfing as a way to experience a truer travel experience and to meet new people. And I'm a bit introverted so it's also a way for me to stretch my comfort zone and grow.
I don't currently have a way to host others (as I rent a room from a friend) but when that changes, I'm excited to offer a place for others to stay.

I love "crunchy" music. Pantera, Five Finger Death Punch, Metallica but I also appreciate bagpipes and some rap and hip hop too, depending on my mood.

I don't watch many movies and most of the books I read would fall into the learning/self-improvement category. For instance, one of my most recent reads, The Science of Getting Rich, is a new favorite.

I think one of the most amazing things I've done is to sell my possessions, quit my good government job and go traveling solo with no plans for what to do with my life next.

It doesn't seem that brave to me, and probably not to a lot of you reading this as we have a similar passion, but most people in The US think I'm crazy for doing it, and yet tell me how envious they are. Live your life people! What are you waiting for?
