Overview
About Me
Love to cook, and enjoy home made food when it's a labor of love ^^.
Very creative individual - meet me and you'll find out!
I love the cozy, rustic part of a city, with bars set in beautiful old buildings.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on couchsurfing because I'm open to new things, and I've heard of this website and would like to try it, as I'm passionate about travelling, but it gets lonely travelling by yourself sometimes, so I'm looking for interesting people to meet and get to 'live like a local'.
I've been able to meet some really nice people thanks to this app - I never hosted anyone myself, but I met people who came here (Malta) and were hosted, and they told me nothing but good things. If I could, I would love to host people, but my present situation doesn't allow me.
Interests
I've been teaching English for 7 years, and I like to teach fluency and accent reduction.
I've trained vocally and uploaded a cover of my favourite song ever, Defying Gravity: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jeAshkJlmBU

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have recreated at home the delicious Chicken Katsu dish served at Wagamama.
Also can bake some really good banana bread.
I can belt an A4.
There's probably more, but really, my aim is to add to this list, the more I use couchsurfing!
Teach, Learn, Share
When I tell people I have a great deal of experience as an English teacher, some of them ask me if I can help them with their accents - which of course I can do! I can help with cooking too, I mostly like to bake, although I don't have that much experience cooking local food. I'd be happy to share with you my language, Maltese - a semitic language with elements of European cultures and languages, as well as stories about my previous travels. Or we can sing show tunes and Musical Theatre songs together!
Would love to learn another language, especially Spanish.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm happy to share my heritage with hosts - in the form of my language, or any delicacies from my country (which can be transported) - this includes Almond Liquor, Kinnie (an orange soft drink), Twistees (a local snack) or frozen Mqaret (another snack) - or if there's something else just ask and I'll do my best.
I'm happy to share stories of my travels, as well as my empathy and my ear, and I'm happy to hang out and explore your location!
I can teach Accent Reduction - with regards to English - if you're into that. That's all that's coming to mind right now.
