Overview
About Me
I'm originally a country girl from Eastern Victoria, Australia. I grew up on a farm and went to uni in Melbourne before moving to Queensland (Brisbane & the Sunshine Coast) for work after graduating. Now living in Edinburgh, currently working in a bar and soon to start chiropractic work again! Between then I have fallen in love with travelling, photography, hiking, camping., snowboarding, music, food... life in general!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm moving (or have moved if it is now June) to the UK for work in June/July and am planning on couch surfing to meet new people and hear your stories and what your passionate about! Eventually when I get my own place I'll offer to host as well, in the meantime, my parents will gladly host people I meet in my room near the mountains in Gippsland.
Interests
Travel - caught the bug when I was 14
Health and Wellness - a given with my profession, but soooo much more
Nature - camping, hiking, fishing, swimming, snowboarding, photography... etc
Music - GOOD music, and being lucky enough to hear it live
Food - I love cooking & trying new cafe's and restaurants (I mostly eat paleo but not strictly)
Dancing - who doesn't love it? (oh and I grew up with ballet and teaching it)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - anything from Mumford & Sons, to Wu-Tang Clan, to the Rolling Stones, to Ben Harper, to Brooks & Dunn, to Hilltop Hoods... I have a very eclectic taste but will always be happy listening to the Cat Empire or The National.
Movies - I am a Marval fan, but again pretty much everything.
Books - I'm making my way through the penguin classics at the moment, my LOTR books are literally falling apart, as is my copy of Born to Run.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I worked fighting bush fires in Victoria in my summer breaks from uni. This meant fun (kind of dangerous) times 4WDing, chainsawing and romping through the Australian bush. Loving every minute of it!
Teach, Learn, Share
If anyone hasn't read the Secret History by Donna Tartt, read it now!
Watch Ben Goldacre's TED talks and if you hate them, probably don't have me stay... then watch this one too: https://www.ted.com/talks/jill_bolte_taylor_s_powerful_stroke_of_insight
Listen to any of Tim Ferriss' podcasts (particularly Rainn Wilson, Seth Godin, Eric Weinstein & Derek Sivers)
That gives an idea of what I'm interested in.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good conversation & food.
Information on nutrition and health and wellness (if interested).
Hopefully a fun time!
