I'd describe myself as calm and positive. I'm not a cheerleader type of a guy though I like to meet new people and learn from different cultures.

I first moved from Czech Republic to Tampere (Finland) for an exchange study. Fell in love with the still landscape of forests and lakes. Then a PhD offer came and I grabbed it. So now I'm researching computers in Tampere.

I have experienced so much hospitality from other people during my travels that I have a strong urge to repay it somehow :-). Also Couchsurfing is a great place to meet interesting people from around the globe.

Intereses

Music - be it playing, listening or engineering :-).
Of course I love travelling.
I recently picked up dancing again and discovered I really love it!
I take pictures with my phone and both digital and film cameras. I love the process of developing my own film rolls and making pictures from them.
I love dogs.
Experimental improvized cooking :-D. I like to cook Czech soups but sometimes it gets an Asian twist :-D.
Exploring random unknown places.
From sports I like hiking, running, swimming. In winter I do some ski running and ice skating when I have the opportunity.
