Overview
About Me
My inner child is often on display, yet I somehow manage to adult rather well. I love to be foolish, playful, silly, and wild; however, when I first meet people, or when it is appropriate, I can be charming, polite, and respectable. I have been told that my laugh is awesome (awesome = earnest, slightly jarring, and sprinkled with snorts). My more serious and intelligent side leans toward caring about things like the environment, social issues, and politics with varying degrees of passion and current knowledge, depending on how nihilistic I'm feeling. I love many types of people, but some of my favourites are smart, witty, compassionate, and genuine. I usually show my affection through banter, teasing, and tickles or pinches (don't worry - I won't unleash my tickles or pinches on you, as that would be creepy). I adore most animals instantly (excluding leeches or ticks; however, I can appreciate their parasitic fervor). Being active outside, especially in the wilderness, makes me happy. I love to hike, camp, bike, ski, run, climb, canoe, swim, and play almost any sport! I want to keep learning until I'm old. I want to be a good person and believe we should take care of each other.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting new people and learning from them is refreshing. When I am travelling, I appreciate seeing my surroundings through the eyes of a local. As someone who has traveled alone quite a bit, I value opportunities to create connections with others. Travel is better when you are creating meaningful relationships.
I would love to share my home with fellow travellers, repaying the kindness and generosity that I have received! The sense of community I have felt between those who travel (especially on a budget or in a less money-driven way) is so warm. I want to remain an active participant of that community, which I love so dearly.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Performed surgery (castration) on donkeys in rural Indian villages with all the owners, neighbours, and school kids as spectators! Great fun and very appreciative people - always tea on offer for our services :-)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I offer a fun-loving and easy-going nature. I love animals, so if your pets need some attention, I'm the lady for the job. I would like to share stories. I'm a helpful person in general, so let me know if there's anything I can lend a hand with!
