ABOUT ME

Hi! 你好!Merhaba! I am Yen from Taiwan and I consider myself a kind, simple and easygoing girl^^.
My major is Hiking (nah, seriously it's Turkish Language and Culture), and I am planning to volunteering in Turkey after graduation as a gap year.

I enjoy living an adventurous life and I like going hiking. I've been to more than 30 "Baiyue"(Mountains below 3,000m in TW) and I believe that the most beautiful scene you could found in Taiwan is probably in the mountains.

Go to famous hiking trail like PCT(Pacific Crest Trail, USA) as much as I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

1. To explore different cultures by making friends from all over the world.
2. To be more interactive with ppl.
3. Practicing English and Turkish as well.
4. Last but not least, I want to share my country Taiwan with everyone, especially those who are not familiar with it.

I enjoying listening music with guitar like acoustic music or covering music, also listening to Turkish music. I like Independent music in Taiwan as well.

My favorite movie type is Drama film and #romantic comedy(like "One Day").

I recently finished reading "The Courage to Be Disliked"(by psychologist Alfred Adler), I enjoying reading books of self-development or self-knowledge.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

#Solo trip experience
When I was 16 and I am obsessed with the concept of being a backpacker, so l decided to go to a solo-trip for 14 days in Vietnam at the age of 19, the very first time to travel only myself.
And the craziest things that I've done in Vietnam was driving the motorcycle without license.

I can share my amazing experience in Turkey.
I can share my knowledge about Taiwan's nature, or give you some advice if you plan to go hiking in TW.
I can share some good hiking places in Taipei and TW.
