CURRENT MISSION To explore different areas of the world and interact with the culture of the people ABOUT ME Tom and I have been together since August 1996. Love to travel but hotel stays can be costly. We enjoy traveling on cruises because we have the ship to stay in. Both of us retired early in life. We love to entertain and have a large house and property for summer volleyball parties, potluck dinners and family gatherings. Both of us strive to generate as little landfill trash as possible. Very seldom do we use store plastic bags, preferring to bring reusable cloth style bags. Nearly all plastic food product bags are repurposed until they need to be recycled. All of our kitchen vegetable scraps and yard vegetation waste gets composed, as well as shredded home office papers. All other paper products are recycled, in addition to plastics. About once per month we will need to set a small bag of trash out for curbside garbage pick-up. And my living a general clothing optional lifestyle means very little worn out clothing to be disposed of, and very little water waste and contamination due to laundering clothing.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING Offering our home to travelers who need a place to sleep. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Years ago, I spent a month in Hawaii staying wherever I could lay my head. Had a great time meeting wonderful people - even ran into a guy that I went to highschool with. We have hosted a couple of travelers, but our general area does not have a lot to offer for sightseeing. If your travels take you to the Detroit or Ann Arbor areas, we are about a 40 minute drive from these cities.

What I Can Share With Hosts
I have a very good amount of knowledge of many topics. I can share what I know while having the ability to have a meaning conversation. I also know a lot of handy-person skills so time permitting, I can offer my help with things that may need attention around the homestead.
My Interests
Gardening, Remodeling or rebuilding homes, landscaping, warm beaches, hosting summer parties for friends and family. I like living a clothing optional lifestyle where and when it is excepted and comfortable.
