About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to do as many things.

ABOUT ME

Currently in the process of finishing my Master's in the Liberal Arts. I like books, meeting new people, coffee, drawing with inky black pens, writing, dogs, food, board games, and fun people.

PHILOSOPHY

"She never inquired, but she never recoiled, either. This is a quality that I look for in a person, not recoiling."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm willing to host others and meet anyone possible. I love people!

Rarely has anyone actually traveled through Russellville, but I look forward to any visit.

I think some of the best lessons are learned through personal experience. Sometime this happens just by meeting and learning about others' personal experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've often stayed with people that I've barely known in several cities, including Lafayette and Lake Charles, LA, Phenix City, AL, Toledo, OH, and New York, NY. I've always met a lot of great people, and have kept in touch with a great deal of them.

Interests

I like knitting, painting, sewing, drawing, writing, reading, making music, watching music being made, drinking, eating, dancing, meeting people, talking to people, enjoying others' company.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Amelie, City of Lost Children, The Motorcycle Diaries, The Godfather, Tekkonkinkreet, Grizzly Man, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Graduate, Pierrot le Fou, Tulpan, Me You and Everyone We Know, Fistful of Dollars, The Wild Bunch, Destry Rides Again

Books: Harry Potter, Absalom! Absalom!, Ender's Game, The Phantom Tollbooth, The Hamlet, Song of Solomon, anything by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

Music: Things that I can dance to, sing to, make me feel something emotionally, and/or seem to have been created with a type of skill.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen several truly great and amazing plays on stage such as Gypsy, Spamalot, Wicked, Equus, The Lion King, and Spring Awakening. I've fallen in love in two days. I once found a Bible in an old suitcase from 1886. I met a girl via facebook that I believe is my soul mate and drove 11 hours on a weekend to visit her--meeting her was amazing and I think she is amazing. I also found an old copy of Treasure Island on a sidewalk in NYC. I very recently went skydiving at sunset--AMAZING.

I haven't been on here but in the last two years, here are some more fun things:
-made a band in a month to go on tour (for the sake of traveling and playing music)
-gave birth in my bathroom sans midwives
-got to play at Do Ya Hear We, a large DIY punk fest in Chattanooga, TN

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm very into arts and crafts and creating things, whether it be stories or music or paintings or mobiles! Also, I can play several instruments and would be willing to teach basics of a few if desired. And I could also show people how to make mobiles, knit, sew, etc.
