I'm terrible at planning ahead, so contrary to most people, I actually prefer when surfers write their request only a few days before they want to invade my couch! I'm also terrible at replying, when I know I can't host - so in case I never get back to you, assume I couldn't have hosted you anyway, and that I'll probably send you a message several weeks later, apologizing for not responding ;)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I have travelled quite a bit over the years, I know how awesome it is to experience kindness and helpfulness from complete strangers, especially when you're in a foreign country - so I try to repay that kindness to other strangers by offering my musty old couch to crash on :) Also, you end up learning quite a bit about your own country and culture when foreigners start putting everything into perspective.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Why do you only have to list one?

I've broken my feet on a 1.200 kilometer walk, visited the radioactive zone in Chernobyl, and seen the way the world ends thrice.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a bit about ancient nordic myths, the danish language, the inner workings of a camera and how to use Photoshop, and share my (rather) limited knowledge on how to play the piano and cook traditional Danish meatballs.

On the other hand, I'd love to learn new languages, better my piano playing, and possibly also how to be able to touch my toes. Oh, and if you happen to know a place where the world ends in your country, I'd love to add it to my to-see list!
