About Me
Hey there! I’m a New Orleans-based musician, poet, multi-media collaborator, and a voracious/spirited traveler.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I needed some last minute shelter during a trip to Seattle, WA in December 2015 when my place to stay unexpectedly fell through. After a really positive experience, I am now an ongoing user and fan of Couchsurfing. :)

Music, Movies, and Books
My love for music is boundless. Some favourite artists include: Radiohead, James Blake, My Bloody Valentine, Elliott Smith, Solange, The Dissociatives, Buke and Gase, Half Waif, Sonic Youth, Pile, People Museum, Mothers, Karen Dalton, and Erik Satie.
Despite being a musician, film might be my most adored artistic medium. A few of my favourites are ‘Children of Men’; ‘Twelve Monkeys’; ‘Fight Club’; and ‘Donnie Darko’.
Some favourite books include: Narcissus and Goldmund by Herman Hesse; The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt; Just Kids by Patti Smith; Girl in Landscape by Jonathan Lethem; Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins; Girl in a Band by Kim Gordon; Wonder Boys by Michael Chabon; and Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain. I love poetry that strikes the heart and anything by Murakami as well.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Some years ago, I climbed a mountain in the Catskills (upstate NY) with a longtime friend in silence.... a napkin of random afternoon times were chosen over morning coffee and kept in hand. At each pre-picked minute, we stopped and wrote down our thoughts. Once at the top, we read the thoughts to each other; burned the words; and proceeded to scatter the ashes into the wind. We then essentially slid the entire trek back down (since there was a lot of wintry ice) and skinny dipped in the freezing creek below.
