Music, Movies, and Books

-Psychedelic, experimental rock mostly, indie, alternative, dream pop, some posthardcore bands.

- I like mostly tech and artsy films, nothing in particular.

- Too many good books just to pick one, I'd recommend: Prometheus Rising
(Robert Wilson), the 48 laws of power(Greene), Moral landscape (Sam Harris).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the middle of an emotional crisis I took off with a friend and almost no money about (US$ 26-27/RD$ 1,200 pesos), some food, few clothes and we went to a place called El Cachote in Barahona. I decided to go here because I saw a picture of the place and it looked magical to me, I connected with it automatically. So we went backpacking, spent the first night in a little hotel in the city of Barahona, met many interesting characters, certainly an amazing adventure. We paid some motorcyclists to take us up to the Cachote which is around 1 hour trip in a really bad and dangerous road.

As soon as we got there, we fixed our tent and got ourselves a little 12 year old tourist guide, a very smart kid, with good hiking skills. He invited us to go to the river and had to walk down a really hardcore hill for 2 hrs just to get there and splash a little then 2 hours going up (Hell). I almost died twice by falling off the cliff, we hiked, I got scratched by carnivore plants, bitten by mosquitoes but I just kept going, enjoying the adventure, felt so alive. Loved it.

We also found that there was a Larimar mine nearby, we collected different set of stones, this is only produced in the Dom.Rep. After we got someone to take us back to the city of Barahona we noticed we had plenty of time before the bus arrived, so we decided to buy ice cream and go to the nearest beach called Saladilla, we met some locals and after that we went for a beer and ended up betting on a pool game (which I lost lol). Perfect trip, perfect timing, mission accomplished!
