About Me
I'm from Costa Rica and I moved to Seattle 5 years ago.
Since I was a teenager, my greatest dream was to travel the world. I always loved to meet new people from all ethnicities and hear stories from all this magical cultures.
I'm feeling happy that Couchsurfing is making easier for people to connect, and makes affordable to stay in a place and see the real regular life of locals. Knowing the world, knowing his folks. I'm happy that most people are willing to help and be friendly, but unfortunately few others don't. In the journey you might find some crazy weirdos.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have worked as volunteer in multiple occasions helping kids and teenagers as a counselor or teacher
My first experience was in a project where a group from Sweden came to Costa Rica. We together did volunteer work in a rural area for 3 months and after that we went and did the same in a rural area in Sweden. As soon I came back to my country, I got enrolled to be a Scout lider working with 5-6 years old kids for a year. Also I helped as volunteer on a project with indigenous kids at the border with Panama.
After that I was teaching Spanish in a preschool and 5 different primary schools in USA while I was also volunteering at the same time teaching yoga to teenagers that came from Latin America running away from gangs and violence. Most of those kids have heartbreaking stories and they struggle so much difficulties coming to the US by themselves. I'm talking about 13-16 years old girls and boys that lived in a Foster home, hoping to get a refugee status. Many times I heard good feedback about how Yoga helped them to sleep better or many other times we were laughing doing Cow-Cat noises. That was my best payment for 2 years of volunteering as Yoga Instructor. 🙏🏼
