About Me
Hello:)
I’m Laura from Denmark. I’m an open minded person with a lot of energy and power to experience new things. I love travelling, both alone and with others, and I appreciate meeting new people to share time with. I attempt to be as mindful and respectful to others as possible - I think that’s the best way to go🫶🏻
I live on the rural side of Denmark on Fyn in a community house with three good friends with whom I study to become an independent teacher with. You can see my interests below
I believe that human connection is one of the most beautiful things in the world. I love meeting new people and embarking on small adventures with both new and old connections, whether it be a hike or an exploration around a new city or something totally different. Through the past couple of years’ experiences of solo travelling I’ve learned just how important it is to share your experiences with other travellers
My biggest wish in life is to incorporate travelling with the rest of my living life. One of the sentences I strive to live by is: I’d rather regret doing something than not doing it at all🫰🏻
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m couchsurfing because I’ve experienced that staying at hotels and hostels while travelling alone becomes very lonely pretty fast - I’d really like to connect with new people and form new relations when I’m out travelling🫶🏻
Interests
I like to be outside and I like to incorporate that into my everyday life. I bike to everything when I have the chance to do so and I go for several hikes in the nearby forests during the week. I also like to kayak during the Summer. I do believe that nature gives me a lot in return
Once a week I attend a yoga class and a HIIT workout. When Winter’s coming I bike to the indoor swimming pool to go for a swim once or twice a week. During Summer I spent a lot of my time by the beach and ocean
I value my roommates a lot and we hang out many times during the week. We have a collective dinner once a week where we cook and eat together. Here we can look each other in the eyes and talk about how it’s going and discuss if there’s anything to discuss. I like to spent time with them either in front of the TV with a good movie or going out in the nearest big city
And of course, I really like travelling! Whenever I see an opportunity to do so, you’re gonna see me do it

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music. I have a record player at home and my own little collection of records by Courtney Barnett, Cage the Elephant, Alt-J and other many other artists. I listen to music when I need a little break or when I’m cleaning
I like to read non-fiction books as well as fiction books. I’m often busy with two or three books at a time. Right now I’m reading “Bæst” (fiction), “Ærømanifestet” (non-fiction) and “Amagers Historie” (non-fiction)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I did my first mountain hike in Norway this Summer:D
Teach, Learn, Share
I am pretty good at cooking and baking vegetarian and vegan - I’m neither vegetarian or vegan but my roomies are🥦 I can definitely teach you something in that area, if your interested;)
I can play some piano, so I can teach you what I know myself. I can play several songs from “Højskolesangbogen” and I can read musical notes too
I can teach you how to crochet and to knit🧶
What I Can Share with Hosts
I want to be as mindful as possible as a guest in other people’s homes. I’d prefer to be involved in some activities with hosts but I respect the personal spaces as well
I’d love to cook a meal together, share a drink and share some good and fun stories. I’m also interested in doing activities together🤠
