During my travels I've learned that the best way to get to know a place is with locals. They know the best spots, not just the big tourist attractions.
Music, Movies, and Books
I have a very wide taste in things like these.... I like variation! :) Right now, I'm reading 'Catcher in the Rye' and 'The Fault in Our Stars' is my current favorite. But that usually changes quickly.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I taught in a poor village up in the mountains in Tanzania. It was completely back to basics, no electricity, no streaming water. That experience changed everything for me and I hope I can have more experiences just as exhilirating, life-changing and liberating.
