Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To share music, ideas, and jokes in as many places as possible
ABOUT ME
I love traveling. I love playing music and meeting new people. I have a baby blue truck and more guitars than a girl could ever need. I try as hard as possible to be self-employed, but I tend bar on the side because I love to. My favorite drink is a Manhattan, up, with a brandied cherry. I could stay up all night sharing jokes. My favorite color is green, my eyes are blue, and i sometimes dye my hair black.
PHILOSOPHY
As long as I am making music and interacting with creative and respectful people, I am happy. I also think that I can learn something important from every new person I meet.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: where do I start? My favorite band is Jesse Sykes and the Sweet Hereafter. Beyond that, the list is pretty much limitless: Miles Davis, Sharon Jones, Fleet Foxes, Beck, Stevie Wonder, Loveland. I'm in a band called Silver Thread Trio. We play folk and alt country originals and updated versions of old folk songs. Check it out: www.silverthreadtrio.com and www.facebook.com/silverthreadtrio
As for movies and books, I like nonfiction and based-on-a-true-story stuff. I just watched "the Way Back" last week and loved it. Some favorite reads: 'Botany of Desire' and 'State of Denial.'
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hitchhiked across Kenya to see a rainbow over Kilimanjaro when I was 22.
I sang backup for Calexico and Robin Hitchcock.
I told a joke that made a roomful of people laugh.
Teach, Learn, Share
Have I mentioned that I love music? I can show you how to play piano or guitar, how to salsa dance, how to make the world's best guacamole, and how to do blind drawn portraits. I can teach you songs I know. I will share my favorite drink recipes!
I want to learn your favorite songs. I want to learn sign language. Teach me how to surf!
