...Hello! :) Here's an easy going perfectionist, an active couch potato, a sailing mountaineer, a childish adult, a sunrise loving night owl, a social loner, an orderly chaot. In case you can't find a couch in Hannover, the cheapest accomodation I know about is Naturfreundehaus: https://naturfreundehaus-hannover.de/gaestegruppen/individualgaeste/ (single room 32 €). Cheapest food I know about is König Restaurant at Steintor or Alscham near Kröpcke (Syrian "Pizza" from 1,50 €). CURRENT MISSION Currently sleeping in several places each week (parents, bf, caravan, 99 y/o great aunt), so you gotta be flexible if you like to surf with me. I cannot confirm anything far ahead so I prefer last min requests. I quit my job and plan to travel more in 2025. Wanna join me? I'm looking for travel mates! - And for nice hosts of course. :) Things I currently have in mind are: - Not sure when but hopefully soon: Japan - Generally: some pilgrimage/long hike somewhere and hitchhike, hike or cycle through f.ex: England, Scandinavia, Balkans, BeNeLux, Japan and kayak+camping somewhere in Europe ABOUT ME I'd say I'm curious, honest, rather nice and every now and then chaotic and planless. I can be pretty loud and very quiet, shy and outgoing. People that don't know me well sometimes think i'm rude. But I'm actually a peace loving soul. However, watch out: you might find me being ironic, sarcastic, provoking. :P In 2010 I happened to receive a master's degree in space physics in Norway. Afterwards I wasn't quite sure sure what to do with it. I had my first job in Helsinki, lived there for a wonderful, long winter. But then the job was over and somehow I didn't look for a new one. - So, who would've thought? For the next 5 years I was basically unemployed and homeless. The best outcome of those years might be this cs profile, with all the experiences behind it. :] Besides various short trips I couchsurfed across asia for 18 months. Then I had enough, was so tired, homesick and quite overwhelmed by all the amazing impressions and hospitality. It took me three applications until Helsinki University accepted me for their pedagogical programme and so since 2017 I am a teacher. I'm still figuring out what school is the right one for me. I'm vegetarian, mainly vegan, I don't smoke and I don't drink. I just need chocolate. Dates work too. I'm not a big fan of going or eating out in general, I rather like board game-, movie-, cooking and hanging around nights with friends and cs'ers at home. I try to go an ecological, organic, environmentally friendly way. Some ideas for the future: - move back to Scandinavia - Done. - umm, move back home? 0.0 Or to where? Japan? - Oh, Stockholm it is. Huh. - Not. - But Japan, finally! l Hahaha, done! I'm finally back home. - So, where to next? - cycle or hitchhike and couchsurf through Scandinavia - Done, but not enough - explore Africa - learn languages (I wish I had more talent. Finnish, Japanese, Persian, Arabic, Chinese, Bangla, Russian, Spanish...?) - black belt ...getting there! --- Done! - travel through peaceful Syria - hitchhike to beijing via the -stans, take the train back through russia (and visit a school in every place i stop?) - have a family? - climb a 6000 m mountain - sail/hitch on boats around the planet - go skiing in Afghanistan - live in Japan - Done, but not enough - cycle from Delhi to Leh --- i don't like doing things alone so if you want to join any of these projects let me know! i'm always happy to share my incomplete knowledge. i will probably tell you the names of some stars and how to recognise a planet. i studied northern lights and the weather, maybe i give some ideas on how to live more healthy and how to protect our nature? i can show you how to punch and kick (of course only for defence, because: karate ni sente nashi - "there is no first attack in karate" - or for fun:) i wanna learn as much as i can, about the world; the nature, the people, the cultures, languages, nutrition... i'd like to know how to be a good teacher. and i'd love to know more about things to do with hands... from gardening to knitting, juggling, massage, drumming to fixing a car or building a boat and so on :)

well, some people feel disturbed by the number of questions i ask, about everything. "why?" is probably my favourite question. i'm interested in observing how other people live. :) and i love sharing. because it just makes so much sense to me. i like details and looking at nice things. i like going for a walk. and to hear birds singing. to watch the sun set. i love mud flats and swamps. although i'm a night owl, i highly appreciate lots of sleep. i love our planet and i'm interested in pretty much every field of natural science from astronomy to zoology. especially sustainability and renewable energies, also waste management and food. and education. i own a big lego city, sometimes i still buy new lego. seriously. i like sports: my main sport is karate (jka shotokan). In norway i did matsubayashi shorin ryu, in helsinki i do aikido. then there's hiking, trekking, skiing, sailing, kayaking, rock climbing, roller skating, cycling, ice hockey and (table)tennis/sqash/badminton. i could do more camping, geocaching, dumpster diving. i'm quite a bit into photography and i like handicrafts (paper, wood, wool), reading, cooking (vegetarian/vegan/raw), playing board games. however, nothing makes me more happy than being out in nature.
