About Me

Hi!

I'm an outgoing and friendly American who is living in Oregon. When I'm not at work, I love to be outside hiking, snorkeling, diving, playing volleyball depending on where in the world I am!

When its not great weather outside, I love to cook, read books, watch fun movies and documentaries, and tidy up the house.

I like to be social with the people I'm staying with over dinner, a glass of wine, or out at a bar with a drink playing pool. Meeting new people is one of my favorite parts about being in a new place!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am going to be in New Zealand for a few months this Feb/March/April and I know that couch surfing is a great way to meet people and save money on accommodation!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love everything from American folk music, to metal, to punk and hip-hop. I usually stay away from the radio but there's the occasional top 40 jam that I can't get out of my head.

My favorite authors are Douglas Adams and Tom Robbins. As for books specifically, I loved the pullitzer prize winner of this year, The Sympathizer, A spot of Bother by Mark Haddon, Room, A Light Between Oceans, too many to name!

Movies, I dont really have favorites but will definitely watch them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In February of 2016, I went to New Zealand and met a friend to dive the Rainbow Warrior wreck of the North Coast. It was one of the coolest things I've ever experienced and can't wait to explore more dive sites around the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a pretty good cook and would be happy to cook meals for anyone that hosts me, provided that I'm not at work. I can share information on places I've been, and my upbeat attitude and never ending energy for life. (I don't really have a lot of material possessions right now, except I guess my french press and portable bose speaker :) )
