I am a mom of 5 amazing children. The oldest is my daughter, born in 1999. My four boys are 15,13.11, and 8.
We are a "workaway host family" and we absolutely love it! We enjoy meeting people from all over the world and think it's fantastic that we can share cultural experiences with each other. I love to create, paint, cook, enjoy challenges and new experiences. We camp every spring/summer and fall. Love the outdoors. We have a lively house filled with animals, plants and of course the laughter and joy of my children.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My daughter and I are going on some adventures together, and enjoy meeting new people. Getting together with others help broaden our experiences and share them at the same time.

My whole family have only been couch surfing a couple times. It's a bit much for me to ask for a family of 7 to fit on someone's couch :)

Interests

Cooking, cheesemaking, photography, sketching, painting, crocheting, cycling, hiking and camping. I'm a doula, Loss doula and birth advocate.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hmmm....I enjoy a plethora of music. Jazz, rock, classical, eclectic.
Action movies....of course comedy, romance and definitely Sci-fi.

I've not read a book for so long....having 5 children, running a house and huge garden and yard doesn't leave me much time to read.

I love cookbooks, but rarely follow a recipe. Green living book, child rearing books, and self awareness books are mostly what's on my shelves. Anything to better myself and encourage my children to learn whole heartedly with a passion for life and food.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sky-diving! That was truly amazing!! Giving birth to 5 amazing children was an experience I would never trade for anything.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach cooking, learn new recipes, share wonderful meals. I'm a new and inspired cheese maker. It's been great exploring different ways of making cheese.
